Hair loss treatment platform Ususu raises seed funding

Samson Company, operator of hair loss treatment platform Ususu, has landed seed funding from MashUp Angels.

Ususu is a hair loss treatment platform that allows users to compare opinions and quotations from 150 specialists. Users who upload a photo of their hair (or lack of) receive feedback from minimum 8 specialists on recommended treatment and quotation for either hair transplant, wig or scalp treatment. Users can also easily compare location, reviews, cost and promotions of hair loss clinics without visiting them.

CEO Ahn Hyun-Jin says the company will focus on establishing a nationwide network of clinics and provide solutions to the hair loss treatment market currently hindered by information asymmetry on diagnosis and treatment.

Lee Jung-Ho from MashUp Angels said, “The Korean hair loss treatment market is fast-growing and reaching to US$3.4 billion a year. We’re expecting Ususu, first mover in the market, will grow into the biggest hair loss care platform.”
