Personalized eyewear brand secures US$826k in series A

Kakao Ventures and Bon Angels Venture Partners invested US$826k in Coptiq, owner of customized eyewear brand Breezm.

Breezm uses 3D scanning to measure the size of 19 facial features to be inputted into its proprietary app, Face Ruler. Customers can try frames in the shop based on personalized recommendations. It takes 2 weeks to get customized frames, which are made by a 3D printer. Frames weigh around 7 gram each and cost from US$165 upwards.

The company will use the fresh funds to open more offline stores. It opened its flagship store in Gangnam in December 2018.
