Meal delivery social venture for patients secures funding

Eatmapl raises US$423k funding from Now IB Capital and Primer.

The company launched its first monthly subscription brand Micro Salt for chronic kidney disease patients in December 2017. It delivers personalized 8-meal packets once a week, consisting of 1 entrée meal kit and 2 cooked side dishes per meal. The company chose to provide meal kits for entrées so that users can cook and familiarize themselves with a kidney-friendly diet.

Eatmapl developed its Micro Salt brand together with medical doctors and Le Cordon Bleu, a culinary school. It boasts 25% subscription growth MoM.

The company is now developing a low iodine meal brand for thyroid cancer patients in collaboration with Eisai Korea, a pharmaceutical firm.
